The Spanish missions of California were a source of inspiration for the artisans of the early 20th century who helped pioneer the American Arts & Crafts movement. Like other designs that evolved during that period, their Mission-style furnishings placed heavy emphasis on simplicity, quality, function and harmony with nature. The Woodstock Mission Bells were created in keeping with these themes.
